Description


Le scientifique suédois Carl von Linné (Carl Linnaeus) était âgé de 25 ans lorsqu’il a entrepris en 1732 son voyage d’exploration en Laponie, encore peu connue à l'époque. Ses observations de zoologiste et de botaniste ont été à la base de la publication de Flora Lapponica en 1737. Ses carnets de voyage quant à eux, publiés après sa mort, sont intéressants non seulement pour leur contenu scientifique mais aussi littéraire. Ils montrent à quel point Liné était fasciné par les lieux hyperboréens et leurs habitants, les Sames.
