Description


Le récit de l'expédition de l'explorateur et médecin Frederick Albert Cook qui a déclaré avoir atteint le Pôle Nord en 1908. Son collègue Robert Peary l'a accusé d'avoir menti et de ne pas être allé réellement jusqu'au Pôle. Cook raconte sa version sous la forme d'un mémoire de l'expédition qui a eu lieu entre 1907 et 1909. Il veut prouver que son voyage a bien eu lieu pour se réhabiliter car en 1909 une commission de l'Université de Copenhague a jugé qu'il ne disposait d'aucune preuve attestant qu'il ait bien atteint le pôle.
