Description


Edward Moss était un chirurgien et un artiste à bord de l'HMS Alert pendant l'expédition britannique de 1875-76 dirigée par George Nares, qui avait pour but d'atteindre le Pôle Nord par le Détroit de Smith et d'explorer les côtes du Groenland et des terres adjacentes. Bien que la tentative d'atteindre le pôle Nord ait été infructueuse, l'expédition a fait quelques découvertes géographiques et est revenue avec une grande quantité de données scientifiques dont Moss fait part dans son récit.
