The real-life account of Josephine Perry's visits to Greenland to his husband, Admiral Peary, between 1900 and 1902. Robert Peary was a famous American explorer known for his explorations of the Arctic and the North Pole. Their daughter, Marie Ahnighito, between 6 and 9 years during the trips, is born in Greenland, and became internationally famous world wide as the "Snow Baby", because she was the first white child born that far north. The writer, Josephine, provides details of the daily life of the Inuit people.
