One of the numerous adventure novels for children written by the prolific Edward Stratemeyer about a fictional journey made by young boys from New England (USA) to the North Pole. The aim of the writer is, as he said, to show the power of the grit in the most trying of circumstances, but also to give to his readers an insight into Inuit's life and to relate the discoveries of the great explorers like Franklin, Kane, Hall, DeLong, Nansen, Cook, and Peary.
