Ida Pfeiffer, Austrian explorer and ethnographer, is one of the first female travelers. She is famous for her bestselling journals. After a trip in Istanbul and Jerusalem, she traveled to Iceland and Scandinavia in 1845. This book is the journal and account of her 8 months journey.
